Meet the Staff.

Cody was born and raised in Western Wisconsin. His childhood consisted of fishing, hunting, and spending as much time as possible in the outdoors.

Cody traveled to every corner of the country serving as an Ammunition and Ordinance Chief with Rocket Artillery in the US Marines.

Since returning, he has spent the last 10 years in the firearm industry and is passionate about safety and every citizen exercising their constitutional rights as Americans.

When not at the range, you can expect him to be spending time outdoors with his Wife and dog. 

Ethan was born and raised in Lindstrom, now living in Forest Lake. He graduated from Chisago Lakes High School in 2018, then joined the Air Force. 

During his time in the military, he was a munitions systems crew chief in Mountain Home, Idaho, and had one deployment to southwest Asia. 

After his time in the Air Force he joined our crew in 2023, and is now our Sales Lead. 

When he isn't working you can find him out hunting, traveling, and out collecting all types of surplus firearms, and uniforms. 

Andy is an instructor at Best Defense. Andy has been an educator for over 20 years. Andy enjoys taking shooters of all levels and helping them achieve their shooting goals.

Andy grew up in Edina and now lives on a small ranch with his Wife and Son near Lindstrom.

In addition  to instructing, Andy has held instructor qualifications with the National Muzzleloading Rifle Association, and has worked extensively with traditional black powder firearms. Andy has a degree in History and has years of experience working with and shooting US Military firearms from 1776 - present.

When he's not at Best Defense, Andy can be found riding horses, hunting with his son, or relaxing with his family at their ranch.
