Rising from the ashes of the 2018 fire, all new ownership has worked together with industry leading experts from custom range equipment, architecture and design to world class facility ideal for anyone from the novice first timer to dedicated competition shooters.

Standard Public Range Bay

We offer a fully public standard range bay featuring 7 lanes with a 25 yard max range. All lanes feature brand new custom built Action Target runners, touch screen controls and an ample supply of target options. Rent by 30 minute increments or join the family with a membership as low at $29/mo.

Tactical Bay

Our team designed a fully separated 3 lane tactical shooting bay. Extra wide lanes with reinforced and core filled block walls built to accommodate competition shoots, group events and higher level personal and team tactical training. This bay allows down range, draw to shoot practice. A design experience exclusive in the area. Access for group event rental or personally with 1 of 3 options of exclusive +VIP Membership packages.

hometown hero outdoors /Herosounge

An event venue like no other.

Attached directly to our Tactical bay for an all encompassing and private experience, our Heros Lounge is available for rent 6 days a week. Mix in some world class rental guns and a Best Defense Tactical Trainer and your corporate event or Superbowl watch party will be something to never forget. Also available for private training group, individual classes or private, discreet sales or custom firearm consultation.

New Firearms

We are a preferred stocking dealer for all major manufacturers. From carry weapons and hunting rifles to home defense and competition guns, we will have what you are looking for or we'll find it.

Consignment

Best Defense Armory & Range can sell your firearms and accessories for you. Consignment is a great option if you are looking to get a little more for your items. We list our consignment items online as well as on display in our retail space. Online only options are available upon request. Best Defense has an outstanding reputation both on Gunbroker.com and in the greater metropolitan area.

Firearm Appraisal & Purchasing

We provide appraisals on any size firearm collections. Detailed individual firearm appraisal with letter for insurance purposes available upon request for additional fee.

Ammo & Accessories

We have ammo for pistol, rifle and shotguns in stock. Depending on availability it may only be provided for sale to range members. Call store for details.

Hoslters, magazines, cleaning supplies, optics, safety gear, range bags, safes and more are available in our store. If there is something you don't see on the show floor please ask BD staff and we will place a special order.

High School Trap Gun Inspections

We offer the required shotgun inspection and service for Minnesota Highschool Trap Shooting at no cost as a service to students and families in our area.

Firearm Transfers

We offer FFL Transfer for the following prices:

Incoming / $30 for one firearm, and $15 each additional.

- Items not picked up after 90 days will be charged a $25/mo storage fee per item

- Items not picked up after 6 months will be considered abandoned.

- Please allow 24 - 48 Hrs after delivery notification for processing.

Outgoing Handgun / $60 each (Insured to $800)
Outgoing Long gun / $75 each (Insured to $800)
Price includes shipping. Larger than normal guns may incur additional shipping fees.
NFA Transfer Fee: $150 per NFA Item
